BACK TO WINNING WAYS

And We Lent Them Half A Keeper

We were playing Redline FC this week, who only had 6 players in the first half, in which Gary 'Goal Machine' Clarke managed to tuck two goals away in a smart and clinical fashion for us. We actually had a surplus of players and so had an exotic and ever changing mix from Phil, Stuart, Jake, Sean, Gary, Mark, Andy T and Andy L (Goose) plus a cameo appearance from Chris Heaney who was also available this week. Unfortunately Joe, Matt and Paul were unable to face football after being completely and utterly crushed by recent developments in the sport!

The second half saw a radical change in the opposition's line up - we lent them Mike Rigby - the best dressed substitute goalkeeper in Penwortham (he took off his tie before the the game restarted). And he managed to keep us at bay for 10 minutes - while Goal Machine was taking a break to recharge his batteries. When Gary rejoined the field he fairly quickly grabbed a goal to get his hat trick and for good measure we added a fourth before full time.

Job done - 4 - 0 win - everyone fairly happy (except for Mike who wanted to keep a clean sheet).

Next game - 19th July - Unathletico Madrid at 9.15pm

Shout Out for Top Talent

We're often looking for top talent that fancy 40 minutes of football on a Thursday evening.

If you're interested have a look at the page that shows where the games are played and contact me by email if you want more information.

It's a 3G surface; we play outdoors; 40 minutes (2 x 20 minute halfs); shin guards are compulsory; you must be a minimum of 16 years old; and the Leisure Centre dictate that it's guys only (sorry ladies). Kick offs are between 7pm and 9.15pm. Send me an email, now.

If you're an individual looking for a regular game on a Thursday evening and fall (roughly) into any one of these categories,
    keen and committed goalkeeper,
    no nonsense defender,
    inspirational midfielder,
    phenomenal forward.

Well, you're just the sort of fellow we'd like to meet. Even if you only partly fulfil one of the above descriptions, get in touch. Use the Contact page to send me an email.

Thanks, I hope to hear from you soon.

FA League Administration

Penwortham Leisure Centre has now ‘signed up’ with the FA FULL-TIME League Administration system. This is a web based way of managing football leagues on-line and it allows anyone to check fixtures, results, tables etc.
